Letting a Property
Marketing and managing property is a complex, time consuming and potentially stressful endeavour.
If you are thinking about becoming a landlord, you need to consider issues ranging from compliance with safety regulations and responsibility for bills, to how to deal with a tenant who fails to pay their rent.
Alternatively, you could trust the experience and expertise of Birt & Co.’s in-house Lettings Department who will advise on all the above and the level of rent you could expect to receive.
Juliette can take care of every aspect of renting your property, from checking the credit history and character of prospective tenants to registering deposits in an approved scheme.
We offer a clear pricing structure for the services we provide, and include most of them in our commission rate. This means no unexpected extra costs, allowing you to easily keep track of your rental income.
As a registered member of RICS, you can rest assured that with Birt & Co., your let will be professionally managed. RICS agents are tightly regulated and bound by a strict code of professional ethics, overseen by an independent Ombudsman.

With effect from 23 November 2016 all letting agents in Wales are required to be licensed under the Rent Smart Wales scheme. Birt & Co. are licensed (licence number #LR-37010-48507) and we were the first letting agents in Tenby to be licensed under this new scheme. We would be pleased to help any landlord who is thinking of letting their property, as landlords also have to register all properties in Wales that they own and let. If they deal with the tenants directly then in addition to registration they also need to be licensed.
If a landlord appoints a licensed letting agent to manage their property then they are only required to register with Rent Smart Wales.
